Get ready for an exciting Fall at Paddle Hub! We are gearing up for a season filled with fun, competitive play, and opportunities to improve your game. Our Fall schedule will feature a variety of drop-in sessions, skill development clinics, and exciting new leagues to keep players of all levels engaged. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the ropes or an experienced player aiming to fine-tune your skills, we’ve got something for you. We'll also be introducing a brand-new ladder league, offering an engaging format for competitive play.

League Details: 8 weeks of round-robin play followed by 4 weeks of playoffs and a finals week. Teams play 4 games per week in a 1-hour time slot. Medals and prizes for top teams.

All Levels
Open to players of all skill levels! Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, this session is perfect for enjoying the game, meeting new people, and sharpening your skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

Beginner Level (0.5-2.0)
Designed for those new to pickleball or looking to build confidence on the court. Learn basic rules, improve foundational techniques, and enjoy friendly games in a supportive setting.

Intermediate Level (2.0-3.0)
Tailored for players with some experience who want to refine their skills and engage in more competitive play. Work on strategy, consistency, and advanced techniques while having fun with peers at a similar level.

Our Skill Development Classes are for players who already know how to play pickleball. If you're new to the game, please begin with our Introduction to Pickleball class.

Introduction to Pickleball Class

Ideal for beginners eager to learn the game, this class covers the fundamentals—rules, basic techniques, and court positioning—in a fun and supportive environment. Build confidence as you develop the skills to play and enjoy pickleball.

Skill Development Sessions

Designed for players who already know how to play, these sessions help sharpen your skills and take your game to the next level. Focus areas include strategy, shot accuracy, footwork, and gameplay through targeted drills and coaching. Please note: prior playing experience is required before registering.

SUMMER Sessions July - August 2025

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, it’s important to complete an Introduction to Pickleball class before registering for a drop-in session. or a summer session. This helps ensure a positive experience for you and those you’ll be playing with.

Join us for non-instructional gameplay designed for players aged 18 and up. Choose one of our Spring Sessions that best matches your current skill level. Before registering, please be aware that no refunds will be issued for cancellations or "no-shows" during the session. We kindly ask that you confirm your availability before completing your booking.

Skill Development 18+

Our Skill Development Sessions are for players who already know how to play and want to sharpen their skills through focused instruction and real-game play. Each session includes hands-on coaching, strategic insights, and plenty of playtime to apply what you’ve learned. Whether you're improving shot placement, court positioning, or advanced strategies, these sessions will boost your confidence and elevate your performance.

Introduction to Pickleball Class 18+

Brand new to pickleball? This class is for you!
Perfect for those who have never played before, this beginner-friendly session offers a fun and welcoming environment to learn the game. Led by a passionate pickleball enthusiast you will be introduced to the basics in a way that’s easy to understand and enjoyable.

During the first hour, you’ll learn the essential rules, court etiquette, basic techniques, and simple strategies. In the second hour, you'll put those new skills into action with guided games designed to build your confidence and help you enjoy the sport.f


Drop In Play 18+ All levels

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, we strongly recommend completing an Introduction to Pickleball class before attending a drop-in session.

Enjoy a friendly and inclusive environment where players of all skill levels are welcome. Please bring your own paddle and ball—nets are provided. Our on-site facilitator will do their best to match players with others of similar skill levels to ensure balanced games and smooth rotations between play and rest periods.

Enjoy a friendly game of recreational pickleball with INTERMEDIATE (3.0+) Level players. Bring your own paddle and ball. Nets provided. Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can attend a drop in ?

We have 3 courts and allow a maximum of 24 players to sign up for a 2-hour drop in play!

How many players can attend the 12 week program?

We are cautious not to over register for this designated time for play. As a result we will only allow 18 players per 12 week program allowing for maximum playing time.

Where do we park, and how do we enter the building?

Parking is available in the back parking lot of Glad Tidings Church. You may enter the building through the back doors and the gym is immedialtely on your left.

How do players know when to rotate?

After the first Drop-in game of the day, one or more of the players must make room for waiting players.

General Guidelines for rotating players:

If one player is waiting, one of the losing players drops-out.

If two players are waiting, both losing players drop-out.

Winning players who play in a succeeding second game should drop-out after completing the second game.

Are there changing facilities available?

Yes, we have changing rooms available for your convenience.

What level of player am I?

Our Pickleball 12 week programs are organized by player skill level. We recommend that you determine your skill level in order to fit into a program that is suited to your learning needs. Find the level from 1.0-5.0 which aligns with most of your skills.

As a guide, most recreational players will rank in the 1.0-2.0 levels due to speed, accuracy, consistency and agility requirements. 2.0-3.0 levels will be for very capable recreational players. 3.0-4.0 are highly effective, fast and agile players able to position the ball consistently, while 4.5 and 5.0 levels are highly proficient trained athletes often able to compete at a regional, provincial or national level.

What level am I?

Level 1.0

  • New and have no to minimal knowledge of the game and the rules.

Level 1.5

  • Able to rally some times.
  • Learning how to serve.
  • Developing a forehand.
  • May fail to return easy balls frequently and occasionally misses the ball entirely.
  • Played a few games and is learning the court lines, scoring, and some basic rules of the game.

Level 2.0

  • Sustains a short rally with players of equal ability.
  • Demonstrates the basic shot strokes – forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and the serve, but may have obvious weaknesses in strokes.
  • Familiar with court positioning in doubles play.

Level 2.5

  • Makes longer lasting slow-paced rallies.
  • Makes most easy volleys and uses some backhands, but needs more work on developing shot strokes.
  • Beginning to approach the non-volley zone to hit volleys.
  • Aware of the “soft game.”
  • Knowledge of most rules of play.
  • Court coverage still requires improvement

Level 3.0

  • More consistent on the serve, service return and when returning medium-paced balls.
  • Demonstrates improved skills with all basic shot strokes and shot placement but lacks control when trying for direction, depth, or power on their shots.
  • Beginning to attempt lobs and dinks with some success but may not fully understand
  • when and why they should be used.

Level 3.5

  • Demonstrates improved stroke dependability with directional control on most medium- paced balls and some faster-paced balls.
  • Demonstrates improved control when trying for direction, depth and power on their shots.
  • Needs to develop variety with their shots.
  • Exhibits some aggressive net play.
  • Beginning to anticipate opponent’s shots.
  • Learning about the importance of strategy and teamwork in doubles.

Level 4.0

  • Consistent and dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand shots.
  • Reliable serves, lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys and can use spin shots with some success.
  • Occasionally can force errors when serving.
  • Rallies may be lost due to impatience.
  • Uses the dink shot and drop shots to slow down or change the pace of the game.
  • Demonstrates 3rd shot strategies – drop shots, lobs, and fast-paced ground strokes.
  • Aggressive net play and teamwork in doubles is evident.
  • Fully understands the rules of the game and can play by them consistently

Level 4.5

  • Beginning to master the use of power and spin, can successfully execute all shots, can control the depth of their shots, and can handle pace.
  • Beginning to master the dink shots and drop shots and their importance to the game.
  • Beginning to master 3rd shot choices.
  • Displays sound footwork and moves well enough to get to the non-volley zone whenever required.
  • Understands strategy and can adjust style of play and game plan according to the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses and court position.
  • Serves with power and accuracy and can also vary the speed and spin of the serve.
  • Understands the importance of “keeping the ball in play” and the effect of making errors.
  • Making good choices in shot selection.
  • Anticipates the opponent’s shots resulting in good court positioning.

Level 5.0

  • Has mastered all skills – all shot types, touch, spin, serves, with control and can use them as weapons.
  • Excellent shot anticipation, extremely accurate shot placement and regularly hits winning shots.
  • Forces opponents into making errors by “keeping the ball in play.”
  • Mastered the dink and drop shots.
  • Mastered the 3rd shot choices and strategies.
  • Uses soft shots, dinks and lobs to set up offensive situations.
  • Mastered pickleball strategies and can vary strategies and styles of play in competitive or tournament matches.
  • Dependable in stressful situations as in tournament match play.
  • Athletic ability, quickness, agility, and raw athleticism are also qualities that are sometimes what separates the top players from those near the top.

Are guests allowed to watch?

Due to limited space we are only able to accomodate those who have registered for the program they are attending.
